Why Customers Love Noot Plant Food

Join thousands who are keeping their houseplants healthy + happy.

Healthy Plants Need These Essential Elements

Plants need 3 general things to grow well: appropriate climate, suitable lighting, and good roots. Noot provides roots what they need whenever you water them.  Your houseplants will grow healthy, avoid most health issues, and fill your home with natural energy – without the hassle.

Climate
Most indoor plants like 65-85F, higher humidity levels with fresh airflow. Never too cold or scorching hot.
Lighting
Most houseplants prefer med-bright indirect light, never directly in the sun.
Roots
Most houseplants love a regular watering of balanced nutrition of NPK + micronutrients. Helpful microbes form a beneficial relationship with roots to fuel new growth, and sustain life.
Soil
Roots prefer fast draining soil mixes that require watering more often. Compared to soil that retains moisture and remains stagnant for weeks. Roots love microbes, and oxygen flow.

Convert Water Into A Nutrient Rich, Microbial Solution

Humans have ‘gut bacteria’ which assists us when performing a variety of functions, like digestion. Just eating food isn’t enough, you need to digest with the help of microbes and the gut eco-system. Plants have a similar relationship with microbes in their rhizosphere or “root zone”, which benefits them in powerful ways.

Noot changes ordinary tap water into a horticultural grade nutrient and microbial solution.  Now when you water, not only are you hydrating, but also making soil healthy.

Bio-Fertilizer
Fertilizer that contains not only macro and micro-nutrients but also specific microbes to develop bioactivity in soil for the benefit of the plant.
Function
Rhizobacteria and mycorrhizae strains form a symbiotic relationship with the roots, and begin transformation.
Result
Plants absorb nutrients faster, develop stronger cell structures, resist disease and climate swings better, promote new growth faster, and flourish.

Plants Deserve More Than Basic Nutrition.

Plant health requires so much more than simply nutrients. Most plant food products treat fungi and bacteria as afterthoughts.

Noot is different. Our nutritional and microbial formula, will:

Increase Nutrient Absorption

After just one watering, microbes build new pathways inside plant cell walls and on roots to facilitate rapid nutrient uptake.

Promote New Growth Points

Node and leaf growth is encouraged by specific strains of microbes in exchange for carbohydrates from the plant.

More Complex, Vigorous Root Systems

Microbes help build advanced root systems that greatly increase in complexity and assist in every aspect of a plant’s life.

Resist Harmful Soil Pathogens

Naturally diminish the risk of root rot and other common ailments as microbes combat unhealthy germs in soil.

Strengthen Cellular Structure

This symbiotic relationship provides plants with a variety of mechanisms to vigorously grow, even in unideal conditions.

Works For All Plant Varieties, Sizes & Age

Whether you’re growing an indoor jungle, or just have a few plants infusing some nature and joy into your home, Noot will keep them alive and thriving.

After just one watering of Noot, nutrients begin to be replenished for the plant to push out new growth. Roots begin to form relationships with healthy microbes and begin their transformation of the plant.

Whether they are young plants or mature ones, they’ll love a drink of Noot.

Cutting Propagation
Add Noot to water and replace 80% weekly to propagate nodes quicker.
Small to Medium Plants
Balanced nutrition and microbes to provide the sustenance needed to push new growth and become bigger.
Mature Plants
Older and huge plants often like higher nutrition levels. You can safely x2 or x3 dosage and gauge response without the need for more additives.

Plants Should Relieve Stress, Not Add To It.

Most people fear fertilizing, so many never do out concern of making a mistake. Due to complex mixing instructions, plants are often harmed, or even die with one bad watering. Noot avoids these issues by using a balanced organic nutrient formula with powerful microbes that help regulate and facilitate nutrient uptake along with other essential functions. Just use Noot every time you water your plants – ‘ta-da’!

Sit back and bask in the beauty of having alluring plants, in your home, without needing the green thumb you thought you would.

Benefits of Indoor Plants

bat guano is harmful
No Animal Harm or By-Products
Many fertilizers are made from composted or processed animal waste products, such as bat guano, rabbit manure, poultry litter, fish waste, blood meal, bonemeal, and composted manure. The extraction of these materials often contributes to unnecessary animal harm.
Noot Bio-Organic Plant Food’s reformulation is now a vegan, organic formula, from renewable resources, that helps battle some effects of ocean warming.

Fertilizer Renewable
Renewable Resource Used By Ancient Farmers
Ancient Mayan farmers have used sargassum seaweed as a fertilizer for their plants. They let it dry for 2-3 days in the sun, then washed it. Once clean, they spread the sargassum onto the sowing area for crops.
Today, due to the effects ocean warming, massive blooms have prompted innovators to once again use this ancient renewable resource for an organic fertilizer.

Regeneratively-Farmed
As sargassum seaweed drifts, it’s raising questions of blame and responsibility and prompting many researchers to look for an upside.
Harvesting sargassum seaweed sustainably allows affected areas to recoup some of the removal costs and damage to tourism. Using this approach, we can help offset some of the negative effects of ocean warming.

We Want You to Ask Questions

Using Noot is simple and straight forward. We hope to answer your questions in the same way.
Here are the most common questions that customers ask us before their first order:

For best results, use Noot EVERY… SINGLE… TIME you water.  We say it that way because this is the biggest habit people need to change. It seems easy, but many forget which is understandable. That’s why we offer our foldable jug for free with your first order to make that habit change easier. If Noot is used every watering, microbes are kept fresh and active, and your plant gets all the nutrition it needs to grow fast and healthy.

Most likely the answer is: yes. Noot was formulated to be used with almost all plant life. The only exception that we would urge caution with are carnivorous plants. Even then, we recommend testing a diluted version of Noot and gauging response. You can also experiment with doubling or tripling the dose for larger plants that seem to have stunted growth.

It’s your Noot: we’ll send you an email a few days before your monthly shipment to see if you’d like to modify anything. You can add more Noot vials so you don’t run out, or even add our potting mix Noot Mix to your monthly shipment. You have total control to rush or snooze a delivery, or cancel your monthly shipment, at any time, right from your account page. We want you to have flexibility to get what your plants need, when they need it!

Noot is an organic bio-fertilizer, it’s all you’ll need for all stages of plant life. Our newly improved formula has sourced robust strains of friendly fungi and beneficial bacteria that will transform your plants relationship with your growing medium.

Our nutrient compounds are derived from fully organic renewable resources, without animal by-products, unlike many ‘organic plant food'(s) who claim the label but contain inorganic materials, like gypsum rock.

Our formula is completely pet-safe, child-safe and doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals. Our microbes are completely safe for humans, and you will likely will never interact with them. They form symbiotic relationship with plant roots, not humans.

We do recommend repotting all your plants into our soilless growing medium called Noot Mix. It’s the perfect blend of coconut chips, fibers blended with coarse perlite and comes pre-soaked with Noot bio-organic plant food. It provides plants a bio-active ecosystem ready for growth!

One vial of Noot is 1.18oz/35ml. Use 1 tsp with 1/2 gallon (1.89L) of water, each vial will make 3.5 gallons worth of solution to water with. The average customer with a few houseplants only needs one vial a month, but houseplant enthusiasts will likely need more. The more vials you add the cheaper each becomes! 1 vial is $15, 2 vials are only $19, the top plan is 10 vials for $45. After that it’s only $5 for additional vials.

Noot will last 60 days if kept out of the sun and cool temperatures. We recommend using it as soon as possible.

Battling The Effects of Climate Change

Potting Mixes
Soil & Potting Mixes
Whether you’re growing in soil, orchid bark, perlite, a blend, or our Noot Mix, watering with Noot will make roots flourish.
When using denser, more compacted soil (no perlite, etc) rather than something more light and airy, you would typically water less. With light and airy mixes (or just perlite), you would typically need to water more often as the moisture would dry out faster. Roots don’t like being too wet, or too dry.
Always have a hole at the bottom of your pots, and allow excess water to drain out as much as possible so there’s never standing water in the pot. This allows better oxygen access to roots.

Fertilizer Renewable
Hydroponic & Semi-Hydro
Hydroponic growing is when an ebb and flow with a controlled water release fertilizes plants. It is an ancient practice, like in Egypt and the flooding of the Nile River.
Many houseplant owners love growing plants in semi-hydro using LECA (light expanded clay aggregate) which is similar to when someone propagates cuttings in water.
Simply mix Noot in with your water whenever you replace it, and watch those roots take off!

Plant Propagation In Water
Want plants for free? Propagate! Most plant owners don’t even know how simple and rewarding propagating plants can be. Noot makes it easier to get success.
Most plants can be propagated in water. When propagating we recommend replacing 80% of the existing water weekly. This keeps oxygen levels fresh, but also existing colonies of microbes populated.
